Just 10 Minutes a Day Makes a Difference!
Reading together is one of the best things you can do for your child and it only takes 10 minutes a day!
Reading aloud helps your child develop language, build vocabulary, improve memory and learn to listen and concentrate. Most importantly, it's fun and a lovely way to bond together.
You don't even need a book telling your child a simple story you know works just as well. The most important thing is that you both enjoy it!
The NHS Says...
You can start sharing books with your baby from a very early age. Even before they can speak, babies love hearing your voice it helps them get a feel for the sounds, rhythms and rhymes of language. It's also a wonderful way to bond and is great for your baby's emotional wellbeing.
Don't forget your local library too they have a brilliant range of children's books and often run story sessions for young children.
